Spread over two floors, the upper level features a charming bedroom with a curated breakfast corner, a mini-fridge, and wardrobe space. The rooms are furnished with antique Tuscan pieces, dressed in top-quality bedsheets, and stocked with luxurious bath products and Tuscan treats from our family’s farm. Upstairs, the panoramic terrace invites you to relax while soaking in the breathtaking view of the iconic Gladiator Road and the rolling hills of the Val d’Orcia.

The area/neighborhood

Val d’Orcia: Would you like to be surrounded by a landscape so gorgeous, that it takes your breath away? This is Val d’Orcia, the quintessential Tuscan landscape that has lured great writers and poets, photographers, and cinematographers to capture its beauty for generations. The villages and countryside of Val d’Orcia are pristinely preserved, free of urban and industrial sprawl, and will remain that way because the entire valley has been declared a “World Heritage Site” by UNESCO.

Pienza: Pienza is a magical place to visit. Visitors have no doubt choosing this beautifully preserved Renaissance gem for its outstanding architecture and its incomparable setting. Pienza’s center was completely redesigned by Pope Pius II during the Renaissance, and was seen as an ‘utopian town’ by the Italian people. The city is known for its beautiful architecture and pecorino cheese, which is produced locally and is considered one of the best types in Italy. The town is surrounded by the picturesque countryside of the Val d’Orcia and offers spectacular views on the valley.

Other things to note

Please note that as we are located in the countryside, and specifically in a historic, cave-like tower, the environment comes with some natural characteristics. The building can be somewhat humid at times, and insects such as mosquitoes, ants, and flies are a normal part of the rural setting. Moreover, as the tower is a centuries-old building, occasional outages of electricity or heating may happen, though this is very rare.
